Christmas Parties Without Running Paid Ads
How to get more Christmas parties without running paid ads
We all know getting larger bookings at the end of the year can be very lucrative.
Here's a very simple method to increase awareness of your festive offers, using simple email outreach.
Process
Step 1 - Use Google maps to search for local businesses close to your restaurant or venue
Step 2 - Go to their website, look for the contact details and email them
Step 3 - Repeat
Pro-tip: Search for businesses where your ideal customers are likely to work
Example
You find, and email, 500 local businesses
Of which, 1% make a booking
500 x 0.01 = 5 bookings
The average value of a booking is $1000
5 x $1000 = $5000
But wait there's more...
Not only does reaching out to local people increase the likelihood they'll book (because they're local) but it also increases the likelihood they'll repeat visit.
Your best customers are those who dine multiple times.
That $5k in revenue, could easily become $10k or $20k.
Pro-tip: The quality and personalisation of your outreach is everything. An obviously spammy email with a bad offer isn't going to generate more bookings that a personalised email with a compelling offer.
Bonus
I was asked earlier this week if I could provide more examples or tips for pubs. If you have a pub, or a bar, this one's for you.
Take the same process as above but tweak it for hospitality Christmas parties.
Reach out to restaurants and other hospitality businesses who'll be too busy to have their own event in December.
Pitch to them a hospo party package in January.
Example
You find, and email, 500 local-ish hospitality businesses
Of which, 1% make a booking
500 x 0.01 = 5 bookings
The average value of a booking is $3000
5 x $3000 = $15000
In fact, pubs could email local businesses for December bookings, and hospitality businesses for January bookings.
